some of my works

Gallery

There’s no better word to describe my works than passion. This compelling feeling that drives you without a clear reason to go for what you want and to live intensely. And this passion is in every strain of my paintings, in the eyes of my animals, flowers, on every curve of my women and in the waves of my seas.

In some of my painting I have used the spatula. In some others only brushes. All of them on acrylic, roaming through the abstract, the figurative and own intuition.

I have exhibited some of my works in ChilArte Santiago and Antofagasta during 2021 and 2022. I have also been present in the Luxembourg Art Fair (May 2022) and exhibited in Galería Gaudí (Madrid) and Koones Gallery (Italy) during 2022. I will be at Art Week 2022 (November, Santiago de Chile) and at the (UN)Fair Milano 2023, represented by Monat Gallery (March 2023, Milano, Italy). And in December 2023, I exhibited at Miami Art Week in the Wynwood neighborhood.

VIBRÁTIL

Uribarri portrays wild animals that convey strength, intensity and liveliness through a palette of bright colors and the use of the palette knife to add texture and density to the paintings. “Sometimes I imagine them watching me as if we could communicate in the same language. And while painting them, fantasies about their history, their environment and even what they think circulate in my head”, says the artist, who is composing each image from small parcels of color, generating a solarized effect.

IDENTITY PASSION FOR COLORS

My paintings reflect a lot of who I am, of my passionate essence. They are full of life and run through the entire color palette. Each animal transmits strength, intensity and liveliness. In some works I have used a palette knife to create layers of texture and volume, but only a brush in some others. All of them are painted with acrylics that go through the abstract, the figurative and the intuition.
